I am Julie Mathieu, illustrator - graphic designer, I live and work in Toulouse.

Independent artist, I have been working on my own for several years in the field of visual arts. First a visual artist (installation, video, performance) for ten years, I then converted my artistic activity into illustration and graphic design. The combination of these different practices allowed me to develop plural skills around the image, creation and visual communication.

I develop a colorful and graphic universe, with the desire to instill a joyful and quirky touch in my illustration projects. I attach particular importance to colors, shapes, textures and the overall composition. My work is inspired by my travels, the world around me and Pop culture.

I produce illustrations and graphic services for different sectors and on different communication media : editorial illustration, youth book edition, packaging, visual identity, pattern design, serigraphy, ... I have at heart for each project to work in close collaboration with my clients in order to offer a coherent, impactful and accessible graphic solution.

In parallel with my commissioning work and graphic services, I make more personal creations : serigraphy and fine art prints which can be found for sale on the e-shop.

​

I also supervise drawing, painting and graphic arts workshops in different structures.
